Jera On Air 2018 • Travel and Accommodation Guide

After two years I am beyond happy to attend this years JERA ON AIR Festival in 2018!
Last time I travelled there by car and I also lived much closer to Ysselsteyn (1,5h from Cologne). This year we travel from Berlin, without a car.
So what’s the easiest and cheapest solution to get there? We take the ICE Train from Berlin to Düsseldorf and paid each around 45€. The train will take around 4,5h. We don’t have to change 🙂
The train tickets in Germany aren’t that expensive and you don’t have to book them weeks prior a date, the cheap connections just usually are in the morning but that’s really okay imo. Plus you have WiFi and Electricity in the ICE. If you have a BahnCard25, you automatically get a City Ticket booked to your regular booking so you can use it in the city of destination (Düsseldorf in our case).
From Düsseldorf you can get to Deurne via Venlo, this connection costs ~20€. (With BahnCard25 ~15€) There are Shuttle Busses leaving from Deurne to Ysselsteyn, where the festival takes place; they cost 5€ p.P., the are free of charge on Sunday.
Check the FESTIVALINFO on www.jeraonair.nl for further information and times. I can always recommend everyone who doesn’t like camping to look for Airbnb’s in the festival area.
We were also lucky and found a close and cheap one (50€ p.P./2 Nights).
